-
Warranty lasts 24 months.
-
Starts from the date of purchase shown on the original sales receipt / date of delivery reflected on the delivery order.
-
Does not start from online or card registration.
-
Does not extend on any part that is replaced during warranty period.

2. Covered appliances
-
All TEKA household products sold by The K Word Pte. Ltd. or authorised dealers for residential use only, including:

-
Refrigeration appliances (fridges, freezers, wine coolers)
-
Dishwashers
-
Washing machines and dryers
-
Kitchen sinks and kitchen mixers (taps)
-

3. Residential vs commercial use
-
Warranty applies only when the appliance is used in a private home.
-
Commercial, industrial or shared‑facility use (e.g. restaurants, hostels, laundrettes) is excluded and may void the warranty, consistent with other brands’ policies.

4. Local purchase and authorised dealers
-
Warranty applies only to products bought new in Singapore from TEKA Singapore or authorised TEKA dealers.
-
Parallel imports and grey‑market units are excluded.
-
Second‑hand or resold products are not covered

5. Scope of warranty
-
Defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use.
-
Electrical, mechanical and cooling system parts, depending on product type.
-
Labour for warranty repairs carried out by authorised TEKA service personnel.

6. Consumables and wear‑and‑tear items
-
Items that naturally wear out are not covered, such as:
-
Knobs
-
Bulbs and lamps
-
Filters (grease, carbon, air, water)
-
Rubber seals and gaskets
-
Hoses and pipes
-
Glass trays, racks, shelves and plastic trims
-
This follows the standard approach of major brands in Singapore.
-
Warranty coverage strictly excludes damage or functional failure caused by liquid spillages, overflows, or the accumulation of debris and grime on the components. This includes, but is not limited to, the blockage of burner crowns and caps due to insufficient user maintenance.

7. Cosmetic damage
-
Cosmetic issues are not covered when they do not affect how the appliance works, including:
-
Scratches and dents
-
Stains and discolouration
-
Minor rust or ageing from normal use and cleaning.
-
Glass panels, doors, lids, shelves and other glass parts that are broken, chipped, cracked or scratched due to impact, heat or thermal shock, mishandling, improper cleaning or any other external cause are not covered under this warranty.
-
Glass hob tops that are chipped, cracked, scratched or shattered because of impact, thermal stress, use of oversized or non‑recommended cookware, covering the glass surface, or other misuse are not covered under this warranty.
-
Oven or microwave glass doors, metallic surfaces, plastic surfaces and inner glass that become chipped, cracked or scratched due to impact, slamming, contact with cookware or abrasive cleaning products are not covered under this warranty.
-
Hood glass, metallic surfaces, plastic surfaces, chimney covers and inner glass panels that are chipped, cracked, scratched, dented, stained or discoloured due to impact, mishandling, heat, chemical or abrasive cleaners or other non‑recommended use are not covered under this warranty.

8. Installation and use conditions
-
Appliance must be installed, used and maintained according to TEKA’s installation and user manuals.
-
Damage from poor or unsafe installation is excluded (e.g. no ventilation, wrong power or gas supply, unsafe placement).

9. External events and accidents
-
Warranty does not cover damage from events outside the appliance itself, such as:
-
Power surges or unstable voltage
-
Lightning
-
Flooding, water leaks, fire or pests
-
Impact, dropping, or other accidents
-
This mirrors typical exclusions in competitor warranties.

10. Unauthorised repairs or modifications
Warranty is void if:
-
The serial number or rating label is removed, damaged or unreadable.
-
The appliance has been opened, modified or repaired by non‑authorised persons.
-
Non‑genuine or unsuitable parts have been used.

11. Territorial scope
-
Warranty is valid only within Singapore.
-
Service is provided only by The K Word Pte. Ltd. or its authorised service partners.

12. Non‑transferability
-
Warranty applies to the original end‑user purchaser only.
-
It is not transferable to a new owner, which is standard in many appliance warranties.

13. Proof of purchase
-
Customer must provide original proof of purchase (receipt or invoice) showing date, model and dealer.
-
If proof of purchase is missing or unclear, The K Word Pte. Ltd. may reject the warranty service.

14. Indirect and consequential losses
Warranty does not cover indirect losses such as:
-
Spoiled food
-
Damaged laundry
-
Loss of income or business
-
Other consequential damage
-
This follows the limitation‑of‑liability approach.

No fault is found, or
-
The issue is outside warranty (e.g. misuse, installation issue).
-
Service may be refused if the installation is unsafe or inaccessible.

16. Out‑of‑warranty repairs
-
For appliances that are out of warranty or not covered, The K Word Pte. Ltd. may still offer chargeable repairs.
-
Any repair warranty on replaced parts will be limited and clearly communicated.

17. Service process
-
Customer should first check the user manual for basic troubleshooting.
-
If the issue remains, contact The K Word Pte. Ltd. with:
-
Name, address and contact details

It is not transferable and applies only to the original end‑user purchaser at the premise originally installed.

All services must be made through The K Word Pte. Ltd. with the original proof of purchase and product details.
