PureCycle does not rely on carbon filters or consumables. Its plasma chamber is designed for long lifespan use and, based on typical household cooking patterns, two hours of use per day provides an expected lifespan of around five years. Maintenance requirements, if any, will be detailed in the installation guide.
No. Modern dishwashers use less water than hand washing. Studies show dishwashers consume about 10 to 14 litres per cycle, whereas hand washing can use 30 to 40 litres for the same load. Using a dishwasher with a full load is more water-efficient and eco-friendly in Singapore’s context .
Yes. Dishwashers wash at high temperatures, often around 65 to 70 °C, to eliminate bacteria. This sanitising rinse ensures cleanliness and is more hygienic than a typical hand wash at lower temperatures. Teka dishwashers (DFI 76950 and DFI 76960) also include award-winning IonClean advanced technology, which utilises negative ions to deep clean right down to the molecular level for optimal hygiene for you and your family.
Not necessarily. Energy-efficient dishwashers consume about 1 to 2 kWh per wash depending on the programme. Many models carry a 3- or 4-tick Energy Label in Singapore, making them comparable, and often cheaper, than the electricity used for hot-water tap washing. Running a full load on an eco cycle minimises both water and power usage.
Most everyday plates, bowls, glasses and cutlery are dishwasher-safe. However:
• Non-stick pans, cast iron and wooden utensils should be hand washed, as dishwasher detergents and heat can damage coatings or warp wood.
• Crystal or delicate glassware may streak or etch unless placed in the top rack or run on a gentle programme. Always check each item’s label to confirm if it is dishwasher-safe before loading.
Modern dishwashers in the 40 to 45 dB range operate quietly, comparable to the hum of a refrigerator. Many Teka models run at around 44 dB on normal cycles. They are so quiet that we have added a beam-on-floor feature to indicate when the dishwasher is working. This light projection lets you know the cycle is in progress without raising noise levels.
• Filter cleaning monthly: Remove and rinse the filter under running water to prevent food bits from clogging.
• Spray arm check every three months: Ensure the spray arms spin freely and no debris blocks the jets.
• Door seal wipe monthly: Wipe gaskets with a damp cloth to remove residue and prevent mould.
• Descale every six to twelve months: Use a dishwasher descaler or run an empty cycle with white vinegar to reduce limescale build-up. Regular upkeep ensures peak performance and extends the appliance’s lifespan .
Yes. You need:
• Water inlet and drain connection: A nearby cold-water supply under the sink and an accessible drain point.
• Power outlet: A dedicated 13 A socket within one metre of the installation space.
• Cabinet cut-out: Most built-in dishwashers fit a 600 mm-wide cabinet space; freestanding models require a gap of at least 600 × 600 × 820 mm (W × D × H).
As built-in specialists, we work with your interior designer or carpenter to provide detailed measurements, installation guidelines and all required information to ensure a seamless fit and proper ventilation. Always engage a licensed plumber and electrician to complete the installation.
